Not many desserts come close to the richness of the traditional Gajar ka Halwa, but the carrots in this new avatar did surprise me. Subtle notes of spices in this Carrot cake paired with vanilla cream-cheese frosting are truly appetizing. Slivers of pistachio pop some colour and crunch and a drizzle of that fresh mandarin sauce was…oh so yum.
Not a dessert person, but this one I am proud of…
